Review of the Year
December 17th, 2007 · 10 Comments
Well, the bad news is that I’m still sick. This was Day of Near Silence #2 while I tried to rest my throat. Thank God for writing. But the weekend was certainly not a total wash. The good news is that I have hit a thirty pound loss this year. Early this weekend, I first […]

I forgot to mention that I have just barely reached 174 this week with a 174.8 weigh-in two days in a row. Hey, I’ll take it. That loss means I’ve lost 29 pounds since January and over 50 pounds since my highest weight. Woo-hoo!

Weekend Baking
November 26th, 2007 · 3 Comments
Sunday morning, waking too late to attend church after not sleeping well, I took a few lazy hours to do some gluten-free, egg-free, allergen-free baking. (That’s the contrast between baking on a Sunday after a week off and baking on a normal weeknight: it felt lazy and enjoyable yesterday, not frenetic or harried.) I planned […]

Weigh-In

176.4–.6 pound loss. I’m getting down to weights that feel weird for me to type, honestly. It’s been that long since I’ve seen them. Mentally, I still instinctively think of myself as being ‘around 190,’ which really isn’t true anymore! It will blow my mind when I get into the 160s. I was reading someone’s […]

Financial Wisdom & Weight Loss
November 1st, 2007 · 9 Comments
As I’ve mentioned on here and elsewhere, several years ago, I started taking steps toward a better financial future. When I decide to do things and learn how to do them, I tend to be very gung-ho (at least at first), and getting my finances in order was no exception to that. With my husband […]

Weekly weigh-in
October 27th, 2007 · 3 Comments
My weight this week has been all over the place–all. over. the. place. Three pounds up from my last weigh-in one day, and one pound down from my last weigh-in the next. Then two pounds up the next day, etc. And I’m actually okay with that. In the last two weeks, I stopped taking one […]
